D.O.P. BAENA
The extra virgin olive oil MONTEOLIVA ORO with Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) BAENA is a product of distinguished quality. From an average of 5 million liters of oil produced by our Cooperative, a small homogeneous batch is selected to be analyzed and controlled according to the strictest quality standards set by the Designation of Origin. Expert tasters and official laboratories analyze the samples to, if they pass the tests, be able to package this oil with the PDO BAENA seal, making it an exceptional quality product.
The extra virgin olive oil MONTEOLIVA ORO with Protected Designation of Origin PDO BAENA is a natural "coupage" of the varieties permitted by the regulations of the Designation of Origin, including notable varieties such as hojiblanca, picual, picuda, pajarera, and others.
On the nose, we can detect a medium-intensity green-ripe fruity aroma, where the scents of green olives and artichoke blend with hints of nuts such as walnut and pine nut.
In the mouth, we find a smooth oil with a medium bitterness and spiciness. Here, we encounter more mature aromas of nuts.
It is a sweet oil, totally clean, non-astringent, and with good persistence.
In the early months of the campaign, it is offered unfiltered to fully appreciate its nuances. As time goes by, the oil is filtered to achieve better preservation without losing its excellent properties and characteristics.
It is recommended for an audience seeking and valuing a product of distinguished quality. It is best enjoyed drizzled over a good slice of toasted bread, as a dressing for an exquisite salad or a traditional Cordovan salmorejo, and even for preparing outstanding fried eggs.

La Cooperativa Olivarera Virgen de la Sierra de Cabra, SCA ha recibido una ayuda de la Unión Europea con cargo al FEADER para MEJORA TECNOLÓGICA DE ALMAZARA COOPERATIVA (Expte. IA-O-09-14-2023-1-027) que tiene como objetivo principal la mejora de la competitividad de los productores primarios mediante régimen de calidad e incremento del valor añadido, en concreto, el incremento de la calidad de los aceites obtenidos, acondicionamiento de la capacidad a la producción y reducción del consumo energético e hídrico.
